bathing

Varanasi is

known as the "city of knowledge," Kashi, Benares and finally, Varanasi. Thousands of people come to bathe and worship in the Ganges every morning. Many pilgrims come up to four times a year to bathe and wash their sins away. The river is terribly polluted (probably the reason the dolphins have not been so common this year), but, as Ajah reminded us, the faith of these people is tremendous and may be the reason that they are not getting sick.
