This is the only sadhu we saw from this sect on the river that morning.

He is a Shaivite sadhu, a holy man of Shiva. They are known for their austere hatha Yoga practices. The ashes rubbed over their bodies are that of the burned bodies form the cremation plots. This helps to keep them cool during these practices. It was a treat for Cypresse to see these holy men and women outside of a picture.
